A singer and songwriter from Modesto, CA, Fabian Nuwa grew up on music. At first, it was a mere auditory love affair, listening to and becoming inspired by iconic Michael Jackson, Boys II Men, Usher, Jagged Edge, 112, N*SYNC, and the Backstreet Boys. It was Fabian’s father though, a musician and lead vocalist in a Mexican regional band, who transformed that auditory love affair to an active dream. Driven by the belief he could be just like his father, Fabian put his talent to work in junior high school, high school choir, the makeshift studio in his garage, and even a Reggaeton group.
Happy though he was with his circumstances at the time, Fabian became restless to return to what he truly loved: pure R&B. This restlessness was serendipitously calmed by a chance meeting with Dale the Gentlemen, when they discussed goals, passion for R&B, and love for the classics that sustained them both through childhood and adolescence. The conversation turned to business, and Dale the Gentleman asked Fabian Nuwa to be one of the pioneer artists of his emergent label. Faith in both the label’s vision and Dale the Gentleman’s drive to deliver, Fabian Nuwa accepted the offer and to date has already released his debut Burgundy Suite Records project "My Year" EP with production from Dale the Gentleman and De'la of TrakNation and features ranging from Russ Coson and Burgundy Suite Records label mate Kusta.
Following up his first project, Fabian is releasing a couple singles and steadily working on his sophomore project. Follow @fabiannuwa for more to come!
